FallProof Scaffolding — Queenstown Supply Case Study
For FallProof in Queenstown, the procurement objective was not simply to buy cheaper scaffolding. It was to secure a stronger long-term supply model built around compliance, traceability, speed, and commercial control. As an established Otago operator known for safety, communication, and repeat contractor relationships, FallProof needed a procurement partner that could support growth without compromising standards. That is where Dracon added value — sourcing direct from audited Tier 1 Chinese scaffolding suppliers and managing production, QC, documentation, freight, and delivery end to end.
The supply programme began with high-grade Ringlock steel scaffolding using Q345/Q355 steel, 48.3 x 3.2mm tube, minimum ≥355 MPa yield strength, AS/NZS 1576.3 alignment, ISO 1461 hot-dip galvanising at 80μm, ISO 9001 production requirements, and full batch traceability supported by mill certs, HDG reports, QC records, and laser-marked identification. Dracon’s model gave FallProof direct access to a supplier base already filtered through 55+ factory audits, reducing procurement risk while improving landed-value confidence.
Why Dracon’s Procurement Partnership Model Creates Long-Term Scaffolding Value.
Commercially, the results were strong. The Queenstown programme delivered estimated savings of NZD 35,800 to NZD 45,700 per order, with an 8-week turnaround from sample approval to scaled supply. As the fleet strategy matured, the pathway extended beyond steel into higher-end aluminium systems, using 6061-T6 / 6082-T6 material standards, T6 heat treatment, precision manufacturing, and third-party quality checks. For FallProof, this created more than a buying win — it established a scalable procurement platform for stronger margins, reliable repeat ordering, and long-term fleet evolution.
