ABOUT US
We Didn’t Build a Sourcing Company.
We Built a Procurement Partnership Inside China.
More than 15 years ago, we recognised a problem that still affects construction procurement today.
Companies around the world were buying from China, but very few were truly buying inside China.
Too many procurement decisions were being made from websites, catalogues, and quotations alone. Suppliers were chosen without a clear understanding of their production capability, quality systems, compliance standards, or long-term reliability. What looked competitive on paper often became costly once manufacturing began or containers arrived on site.
We believed there was a better way.
So instead of becoming another sourcing company, we built Dracon International where procurement actually happens — inside China’s manufacturing industry.
Today, we partner with construction companies across Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific, and selected international markets, helping them build stronger, more resilient supply chains through experience, discipline, and long-term procurement partnerships.
We do not measure success by the number of containers we ship.
We measure it by the strength of the businesses we help build.
Fifteen Years Where Procurement Really Happens
Procurement is not built from an office.
It is built inside factories.
It is built on production lines.
It is built through relationships.
It is built by solving problems before they become expensive.
For more than 15 years, our team has worked alongside manufacturers, engineers, production managers, quality inspectors, and logistics providers throughout China’s industrial regions. That experience cannot be downloaded from a website or replaced by a video meeting. It has been earned through years of factory visits, supplier evaluations, production meetings, and procurement projects across the construction sector.
Our clients benefit from:
• 15+ years operating inside China’s manufacturing industry
• Permanent on-the-ground procurement support
• Established relationships across China’s construction supply chain
• Independent supplier qualification
• Firsthand manufacturing knowledge
• Local experience aligned with international commercial expectations
Procurement Is a Business Strategy
Many businesses see procurement as the process of collecting quotations.
We see it differently.
Procurement influences profitability.
It influences quality.
It influences compliance.
It influences delivery.
And ultimately, it influences the reputation of every construction company we work with.
That is why procurement decisions should be based on evidence, not assumptions.
Our procurement partnerships focus on:
• Identifying qualified manufacturers
• Verifying production capability
• Managing commercial risk
• Reviewing compliance requirements
• Monitoring production performance
• Protecting quality throughout manufacturing
• Strengthening long-term supplier relationships
Because procurement should continue creating value long after the first shipment arrives.
Independent by Design
One principle has remained unchanged since the day Dracon was established:
We work for our clients.
• Not factories.
• Not manufacturers.
• Not trading companies.
Our independence allows us to recommend suppliers based on capability, quality, compliance, and commercial suitability — not commission.
Sometimes the right solution is a large automated manufacturer.
Sometimes it is a specialist producer with highly specific technical expertise.
Sometimes it is a combination of suppliers working together.
Our role is simple: to protect our clients’ investment and recommend the procurement strategy that delivers the strongest long-term outcome.
Building Procurement Partnerships
Over the years, we have learned something important:
The greatest commercial value rarely comes from simply finding another supplier.
It comes from continuously improving the supply chain.
As procurement partnerships mature:
• Supplier performance improves
• Pricing becomes more competitive
• Communication becomes more efficient
• Lead times become more predictable
• Quality systems become stronger
• Commercial risk continues to reduce
• Procurement becomes a competitive advantage
Instead of starting from zero with every project, our clients build procurement capability that continues delivering value year after year.
That is why we describe ourselves as a procurement partner — not a sourcing company.
What We Deliver
Every client is different, but our approach remains consistent.
We help construction companies strengthen procurement through:
• Procurement strategy
• Supplier due diligence
• Factory capability assessments
• Commercial tender management
• Compliance verification
• Production oversight
• Factory audits
• Quality assurance
• Third-party inspections
• Logistics coordination
• Long-term supplier development
Every stage is designed to reduce uncertainty, improve control, and strengthen commercial performance.
Construction Is Our Focus
Our experience spans multiple sectors, but construction remains at the centre of everything we do.
We support clients across:
• Commercial construction
• Residential developments
• Modular housing
• Structural steel
• Aluminium and steel scaffolding
• Windows and façade systems
• Interior fit-out
• Telecommunications infrastructure

While products may vary, our procurement philosophy remains the same:
Verify first. Procure second. Improve continuously.
Our Mission
Our mission is to strengthen construction businesses through strategic procurement partnerships that provide direct access to China’s manufacturing capability while reducing commercial risk, ensuring compliance, and building long-term competitive advantage.
We believe procurement should do far more than lower purchasing costs.
It should strengthen businesses.
Build resilient supply chains.
Protect investments.
And create opportunities that continue delivering value long after the first project is complete.
Your Procurement Partner Inside China
Construction companies do not need another sourcing company.
They need a trusted partner who understands manufacturing, speaks the language of construction, and works on the ground where procurement decisions are actually made.
That has been our purpose for more than 15 years.
And it continues to define Dracon International today.
We didn’t build a sourcing company.
We built a procurement partnership inside China.
